Vaillant showed their caring side by creating a national campaign to keep people smiling on Blue Monday, typically one of the coldest days in England. The leading boiler manufacturers teamed up with expert marketeers from UM Birmingham and McCann Birmingham in the development of a branded drinks machine featuring advanced face recognition technology.

 

Hardy travellers were given the opportunity to use the brand new Vaillant machine at the Victoria Railway Station in London. Their smiles were rewarded with fresh cups of warming hot chocolate and coffee. Word spread quickly via social media and people were encouraged to use the #keepsmiling hashtag.

 

The London travellers were pleasantly surprised by the positive ingenuity of Vaillant's campaign. Many received additional warming goody bags, featuring an assortment of helpful items for the cold winter months. Vaillant continued the happy theme by encouraging the nation's gas safety engineers to send in smiley selfies. The positive engineers were rewarded with Vaillant loyalty points.
